Hurricane House Magazine was inspired by conversations with friends, family, and strangers—often unfinished and across disciplines. It’s a place for ideas in motion and thoughts still forming.

We live amid an excess of immediacy. Opinions arrive fully formed, conclusions announced before questions have been allowed to linger. This space moves in the opposite direction. It values thoughtfulness over velocity, presence over carelessness, and observation as a form of inquiry.

The work here isn’t interested in proving anything. Some contributions are personal, some analytical, and others artistic—there isn’t a limitation on form, but all share an interest in allowing ideas to unfold without feeling the pressure of conforming to “fast fashion” culture.

In this early phase, the contributors are people I know personally—trusted collaborators, artists, and friends who are willing to think carefully, stay open, and move through the world with open minds and open hearts. Over time, that circle will grow, guided by the same sensibility.

This is a living publication. Its form may change. Its tone will likely shift. What will remain unwavering is an interest in sincerity, attentiveness, and in making space for ideas to exist without having to perform or be conclusive.

Hurricane House Magazine publishes shorter form content across many disciplines—articles, essays, lifestyle, politics, visual art, film/video, fiction and non-fiction stories, music, spirituality, love, and beyond.

For submissions, please send something about yourself and whatever you’d like to submit for publishing here.

Thank you for reading, and for entering the conversation.
